I began a story "Look Away" over vacation, and I'm 2,000 words into it. I expect it to be about, but hopefully under, 10,000 words. I've finished the introduction by setting up the problem of the story and the two main characters.
Look Away:
Kiran seeks atonement when his bad habits allow a woman, Damayanti, to be robbed in front of him. Damayanti's distress over her stolen missing purse leads Kiran to manipulate his resources to find her purse and assuage his guilt.
